Larger volume places different demands on the heat source than a small flask, and that is exactly what the laboratory heating mantle JOANLAB HM-1000ML is designed for. The liter bowl wraps around the round bottom of the flask and transfers heat over the entire surface, so the volume of 1000 ml heats evenly without spots where the mixture could scorch. The heating is regulated by a rotary knob on the blue panel, and the temperature range starts at room temperature and goes up to 380 °C. The POWER indicator signals connection to the mains, and the HEAT indicator shows when the heating element is working. This size is commonly used for distillation, reflux, and evaporation of solvents, where heating takes longer and must be stable.
